Gluten Free Gooey Flapjacks
This is the recipe for my gluten free gooey flapjacks:
Prep time: 10 mins
Bake time: 15 mins
Ingredients
240g of Porridge Oats
120g of Butter
120g of Soft brown sugar
3 table spoons of Golden Syrup
(optional up to 60g of fruit, seeds or nuts)
Method
Preheat oven to 165 Celsius
Place the oats (and your optional ingredient into a large heat proof bowl
Add the butter, sugar and golden syrup to a small saucepan and mix with a heat proof spatula over a low heat until fully combined.
Pour the butter mixture over the oats and fold together until the oats are all covered
Place the mixture into a greased and lined 20cm x20cm baking tin and press it flat with the spatula
Bake for 15mins
There should be a slight darkening around the edges which indicates it is done.
Leave to cool before turning out and cutting into the desired portions.
